Music has played a major part in my identity of who I am today. I fell in love with music when I was around eleven or twelve years old. I began playing the guitar at the age of fourteen and even took a guitar course in high school. Since that time, my love for the gift of music continued to increase phenomenally. I find the greatest joy just sitting either on my porch, in the house or among friends lifting up the name of Jesus in song. Here are just a few of my favorites I enjoy listening to.

Back in 2010, I was honored to worship with Jerry Williams along with Steve Olson. Jerry is such a passionate worshiper and lover of the Lord. His music has blessed me beyond words for many years. Mac was so gracious to lead worship one Sunday in Bossier City, La. the night after one of their concerts there. Of course we just had to go and worship with he and the congregation there at First Baptist Bossier! https://www.thirdday.com/ Our son, Grant traveled to 11 countries on a mission trip back in 2009-10. During his travels, he led worship in many churches and gatherings. Here he is in Kenya with his team worshiping with the people there. http://www.theworldrace.org/ Another one of my absolute favorite groups, Phillips, Craig & Dean. I so love this song which is titled, When God Ran. It so beautifully captures the story of the prodigal son as told by Jesus in the gospels. If you’re currently away from the Lord, may I invite you to listen to these words and pray they are a blessing and comfort to you in knowing that your heavenly Father is never too far away to welcome you back home again. http://www.phillipscraiganddean.com/ The late Rich Mullins has had such an effect on my walk with the Lord. I was blessed and honored to see him in Nacogdoches, TX shortly before he went home to be with the Lord. Rich was in a category all his own and he so loved God with his entire being. I was able to see Michael in Longview, TX at LeTourneau University a few years ago. He’s penned so many awesome songs and is also a prolific author as well. http://www.michaelcard.com/ Saw these guys back in 2013 in Dallas, TX and my wife and I  chatted with lead singer Mike Weaver for a few minutes following their concert. Darlene Zschech has such a hunger and thirst for worship & praise. Her music has truly been a blessing through the years and her songs continue to be sung throughout the world. This is surely one of my favorites! http://www.darlenezschech.com
