“…When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” – Luke 12:48

Today’s writing is in response to Monday Morning Minutes being nominated and receiving the Blogger Recognition Award. I am humbled at this recognition which was given by my friend Gail Johnson who authors Center of His Wheel.

Here Are The Rules For This Award:

  • Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.
  • You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you
  • Write a post to show your award
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started
  • Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Attach the award to the post (right-click and save, then upload)
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them

Monday Morning Minutes at its earliest beginnings began in August of 2013. The Lord had planted an overwhelming desire to be an encouragement to those in my workplace. You see when you become a believer in Jesus Christ and become identified with his name, you also become called into ministry. Please don’t misinterpret the phrase “called into ministry” as one of profession such as a preacher, minister, missionary, etc. I believe the ‘call to ministry’ as designated for select individuals is misleading.  All Christians are called into ministry because all Christians have spiritual gifts that are to be employed for service to the body of Christ (1 Peter 4:10). This makes no difference if you wash dishes for living, drive an eighteen wheeler, work as a secretary, teacher, lawyer, or possess the title of CEO for some Fortune 500 company. Every job is to be done sacredly as unto the Lord. (I Corinthians 10:31)

I simply wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and attempt to help make their week and lives a little brighter. In November of 2014, the Lord impressed upon me to create Monday Morning Minutes as a weekly blog and expand its audience. I thank the Lord for each and every follower of MMM since its birth and trust that God is using it to bless the lives of others.

My advice to new bloggers would be to be simple. Don’t make it complicated for your audience. Trust your heart and let it guide your writings. Also, seek out other blogs which also write about what you’re desiring to share about. Lastly, have fun!

May each of you have a great week and know that each and every day you have the opportunity presented to you to make a difference in the lives of others.

Let’s remember to Pay It Forward!

Remain blessed,

Thank you for the nomination, I appreciate the thought that others are touched by what God is teaching me. I did this just a few months ago so please forgive me if I don’t repeat it – I don’t have that many new blogs I follow.

    Bless you. Jules.
